Anesthetic Management Of A Patient With Transposition Of Great Arteries And Single Ventricle For Emergency Below Elbow Amputation.

SUMMARY:A 28 yr old male presented to our emergency department with crush injury of right forearm and was posted for emergency below elbow amputation. During pre anesthetic checkup, he was diagnosed to have a cardiac lesion { murmur } which was confirmed with 2D echo as Transposition of Great Arteries with single ventricle. With all resuscitation measures ready, we performed US Guided right supraclavicular block with 30cc of 1%lignocaine the block was adequate and needed no supplementation. The procedure was uneventful and he was discharged.
