Eighth scientific meeting was conducted on 28.08.09. Our President Dr.A.Selvakumar Kingsly presided over the meeting. DR. Vivekanadam , consultant Urologist and Dr.Nishal Perumal, Consultant Anaesthesiologist gave a lecture on TURP. It was attended by 23 Anaesthesiologists and 15 doctors from other specialities

Ninth scientific meeting was conducted on 27.09.09. Our President Dr.A.Selvakumar Kingsly presided over the meeting. Dr.Kannan Consultant Anaesthesiologist, Meenakshi Medical Hospital & Research Institute, Madurai has presented an excellent topic on Nerve stimulator for Lower limb blocks. The meeting was attended by 20 Anaesthesiologist and 5 Doctors from other specialties.

Tenth scientific meeting was conducted on 20.10.09. Prof.Kannan, State President ISA and H.O.D. Govt Tirunelveli Medical College presided over the function.
ISA Kanyakumari branch has achieved a landmark by having its own website designed by Dr.J.Edward Johnson. Dr.Kannan inaugurated the website which could be used by Practicing Anaesthesiologist, Post graduates and the general public.

ISA Kanyakumari branch has honoured 12 Senior Anaesthesiologists who have served humanity for more than 25yrs. Prof.Kannan presented the mementoes. The meeting was attended by 29 Anaesthesiologist and 35 Doctors from other specialties

Eleventh scientific meeting was conducted on 14.11.09. Our President Dr.A.Selvakumar Kingsly presided over the meeting. Dr.G.K.Kumar, Asst.Professor, Dept of Anaesthesiology, Madurai Medical College Hospital presented a topic on Newer Local anaesthetic and Sedatives. It was attented by 26 Anaesthesiologists and 16 doctors from other specialties.

Twelfth scientific meeting was conducted on 05.12.09. Our President Dr.A.Selvakumar Kingsly presided over the meeting. A team of 16 doctors from Dept of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Vinayaka Missions University, Salem, conducted a Workshop on Central Venous Catheterisation. Hands on training with mannequin was given. It was attented by 26 Anaesthesiologists and 8 doctors from other specialties..

This Was conducted by Dept of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Vinayaka Missions University, Salem on 05.12.09 at Kanyakumari Govt. Medical College. This one day programme was organized by ISA Kanyakumari branch in collaboration with Dept. of Anaesthesiology, Kanyakumari Govt. Medical College Hospital.

It was attented by 67 school teachers from 30 different schools throughout the district. Individual training with mannequin was given.
